Founding Journey of Shiv Mandir: A Community’s Dream Realized

In 2005, members of the Sanatan religious community from Bangladesh, now residing in Michigan, came together with great excitement and dedication to establish a place of worship where they could practice their religion, rituals, and cultural traditions. Dr. Debasish Mridha generously supported their wish, stating, “Build a good temple, and I will help.”

With this encouragement, a small temple was purchased, which quickly became a beloved spiritual home for the community. As the temple flourished with the support of all, its size became a limitation, and many began dreaming of a larger, more accommodating space.

In response, the Mridha family stepped forward once again, purchasing a new property to establish a Shiv temple, in collaboration with the community. Today, the Shiv Mandir is centrally located in Warren and has become a cherished gathering place for all. Situated on three acres of land in Surrey, the temple features spacious, beautifully designed structures, including a worship hall and a large platform for community events and celebrations.
